Findadeath Update: Mystery Corpse

Before my friend The Godfather of Graving, Roger Sinclair passed away, he gave me a few things.  One was this little booklet of pictures of a funeral and a corpse.  Now I don't remember who it was.
I'm pretty sure it was a criminal.

Anyone?

  2. Wish I could tell you who it was. An Asian mourner and the dead guy was a military veteran are about it for clues. Any idea on the cemetery?

It's pretty freaky for them to have opened the casket at the grave... although when my husbands' grandfather died, his brother Sidney wanted to get a last shot of him in the box. Grandmother wasn't having any of it. The casket was being lowered as we pulled away in one of a family cars. I spied Uncle Sidney straddling the grave with his Polaroid, the casket lid up. He talked one of the funeral home directors into cracking the thing open one more time for an Instamatic. Class act.

  3. First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.

    1. Slovik was executed in 1945 and buried in France. He would have been buried in Army fatigues without rank nor unit patches. His remains were transferred from France to Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit (where he was originally from) in 1987. The body in the casket doesn't look like it's been buried for 32 years as well as the pictures not appearing from the late 80s.
